I like the beat

The melody itself... Eh, not so much. It's ok but it doesnt really jump at me, I kind of feel like I want a lead that's as catchy as the beat. The synth is too soft its like... yeah. But I do like the beat :)

(btw you pass by my latest upload, the (titlepending)demo?

House music yay!

You know I like this, its got a good vibe. I think the execution could be cleaner, beats sound really good but the synths... I like the echo-y part.. you know maybe I'm just looking for like a female vocal part. I don't know. Still though, I like what I hear and I think it has a good direction. Curious to see the final project!

(hey man could you check my (name pending) demo? lemme know whacha think?

Ohhh it meant up here

I like your intro that part was pretty good !

Once it breaks into the gong-noises I think their a little too harsh... The static effect is kind of cool, maybe a bit of reeverb on it would help it seem a little less..

"BOOM-done-BOOM" but then again thats kind of the effect.

But I do like the bell melody in the beginning. That part is solid. Maybe the last bar of the riff I would do different. But cool stuff. :) I think this would fit well with like a scary flash/game or something, Is that like drum roll noise when the cymbals start comming in? It keeps telling me to add letters to my summary because its too short haha.

BakiTheFox responds:

Sorry for a late response, thank you for your comment. :3 And yes, it's like a drum roll.

Dang this has a tight atmosphere!

I like this! The flute-ish sounds really good! The drums accompany this well I'm curious where its going... (I'm listening right now)
1:14 when the synth comes in... eh its not my cup of tea personally.

Ooo but the guitar that comes in after, I do like that. and the little bend at the end of the riff :) thats hot.
Not sure if I'm feeling somebodies death with this song, unless its like a action scene death.. but thats besides the point

I like this its fresh and has good direction.

Actually, the scene where the character dies is in the middle of a firefight with his father/team-mate right next to him. The scene is supposed to get more intense as the father goes completely berserk and shoots his way through anything in his path. It was actually supposed to be the key action sequence in the story. Thanks for for the compliment. I'll try to make more like it.

I'm seein potential here :D

I know what you mean about finding good music creators, you work with fruity loops at all? their demo is basically the full product but you can't save... however you can still export mp3's :D

Anyways onto your song... I like the start! I feel like im in a tribal festival someone should be yelling AREEBAA!!! I think a little polish on transitions would help, like a reverse crash before the synth comes in or a break in the drum beats, the synth is good but im kind of thinking a little harsh for some around 1:15 or so that higher synth noise. Ummm.. Maybe a bassline would be good too. I like the feel right now though its got a solid direction. Haha the noise at the end sounds like a popped balloon :)

crazyguylink responds:

AREEBAA!!!! LOL. I agree now that I took the time to listen to it again. The idea of the title was from being Fueled up on too much coffee, and the Tribal aspect to the music. I thought it sounded a little like festive, dance around the fire type track and used that image in the second part of the title. I don't have a reverse crash on the program, but i probably should have tried the reverse chord in the guitar pool. might have sounded better. I'm planning to try to make a track with heavy bass in the future, for a more powerful impact in the sound. Also, I love how the crash at the end finished it off too (you're right. it does sound like a balloon popping).

:D tis the season!

Hey man! Thought I'd throw a review out there... maybe see one come back my way.. :) but you dont have to.
Anyways, my thoughts on this piece...

Very playful nature, positive sounding and what not. :) i like that part. Cool effect in the beginning but when the beat breaks in its kind of a lot to take in at once. This sounds sort of like a pyramid style track, just adding one thing on top of the next. Thats not always a bad thing but I think maybe having breaks and utilizing different sounds at different times instead of the same stuff all the time would help. But all in all its a happy song and I like the synth energy here. :)

ectsoman responds:

Haha, thanks :D And yeah it's just a pyramid as you call it for now. I wasn't planning on actually making a song but then I got carried away. But the way I did it it was too clustered to make it anything but stacked, but now that its cleaned up I'm going back in awhile and altering a bit of the fonts and what not. :D

haywirehaywire responds:

thanks

After 1 minute it is AWESOME

Clever catchy swingy a bit totally awesome :D i think cut out between 0:15 and 1:00 and you'd have a masterpiece, but regardless im giving you 10 because when it picks up its so awesome. Good work i dig it, jus not that dark sort of chanting part I mentioned above.

Stalagmite responds:

na. i agree mate :D its a little dull and pointless, i just thought it was funny is all ^ ^ its like impressing a serious tone on a positive fun occasion, kind of contradictory ^ ^ either way, at least by contrast it improves dramatically near the end LOL :D thanks man!
